My oh so awesome 8 year old

Carsen isn't really thrilled to get his picture taken anymore. He used to love it. I had to bribe him with a pokemon toy. Then he was all smiles.

I just think he is growing up so fast and I am always taking pics of the two little ones, Drew because he is my baby growing like a weed and doing some new face or rollover move everyday, and Sawyer who is getting into something different being a naughty little 2 year old.
But Carsen is so big now, he is outside playing all the time or off with his dad. I never really have time to capture "him"
Well, here he is... My cool and handsome, artistic, oh so tall, awesome 8 year old.

These sick days!

Why is it that Spring Break comes and two of my boys become so sick?
Sawyer has been really sick lately! I hate it.Bugger noses and goobery eyes! yuck! Just a really bad cold.Drew got it too. Poor boys! Luckily Carsen and I havn't caught it ...yet!
He has been so somber and onry this past week. He will only be nice to stitches the bear.

The coolest birthday present ever!

So this year I turned 26. I can hardly believe I am 26! That just seems so old. I know . I know all of you old folks are thinking... I wish I was 26 again but ,what ever it is old. Well, birthdays just are not the same when you become a mom. No big parties or extravagant gifts you have been waiting all year to receive. It is just...Oh, by the way, happy birthday.
Anyways, March 25th came and I actually had been looking forward to it because my sister told me weeks ago she got me a totally awesome birthday present! What could it be? So I was stoked to open not one but two Dawson's Creek autographed prints.
What? You thought Dawson's Creek memorabilia is cool?
Why Yes. I do.It started about the time I had My little one. (Drew) and the late night feedings. dawson's Creek was on every morning at 3 a.m.
Coincidentally, That was feeding time.. Well, long story short, I was hooked and ended up renting every episode on DVD. Loving it!!! (I am not done yet. I am on the last season)
But, I got my sister hooked too. We are screaming Dawson fans. (And Jack fans)
We are dorks,Yes we know.
We are about 5 years late, Yes we know.
But we love it. So Trac gave me a autographed Jack Mcfee print that says "Don, Thanks for watching" Which I wrote my name over the top of "Don's" because Kerr Smith really meant "Ashley Taylor". And one of the whole gang with signatures.
How awesome is that!

I thought this was the one of the nicest things anyone has done for me. I was touched .. truly.
It is just too bad Nick won't let me hang my framed prints in the living room! I guess they will have to go on the night stand by our bed so I can dream every night about them! Oh my sweet Jack Mcfee!

Yes I am following in the footspteps of others but for good reason. So with this last posting I kindof got freaked out that anyone can use those images or any images for that matter. so everyone.. give me your email addresses so I can add you. I will "go under" on the 1st of may.

A family affair!

So I told my family, every year we are going to do family pictures. Everyone is always thrilled! But we did it. I have to say though, it is a little crazy when you have to be in the pictures and run the camera. Wheeww! Of course Sawyer was out of control but that was to be expected. Carsen did so awesome. I told him he was the very oldest cousin and had to be a good example and he did. I was so proud of him. My great 8 year old!
But the main goal was to get a good "up to date" family picture. And,..I think we got er done! So until next year... Here is my cute little parents. So in love like they were when they got engaged! Are you laughing mom? I love you both so much!
And mom and dad's pride and joy. What is it about your parents becoming so different when the grandkids arrive? I don't remember my dad being so nice! They sure do love the kids. Sawyers very most favorite all time bestest person in the entire whole wide world is... "gwampa Kyle" ...."Rhino pwease?"
So out of all those girls.. not one of them is mine. But all 3 of the boys.... All mine!!! My bundle of boys!
The whole gang. I am grateful we all made it together. And Chad's wife Krystal is such a trooper, she is 8 months pregnant and let us take pics of her. I probibly wouldn't. But she is awesome like that. She is still gorgeous as ever! I can't wait to have their "little Chad" here. He is due in June.
As you can tell Sawyer is the only one not cooperating. Oh what a kid! Gotta love him! Gracy is of course with her favorite grandpa, hugging him tight. Everyone say HOTDOG!
Ah....yes, that is Sawyer trying to bite Carsen for no particular reason.And check out his pants from the seventies. He was sleeping when we left and so I just grabbed some blue jeans. When I got him dressed later I realized they were too short on him. (well, to my defense, he is growing so fast and growing out of everything!) Nick kept asking me" Did you mean for him to look like a dork?" But the good thing is he looks so cute in anything! Blue seventy suzie high pockets and all!
Oh and my precious baby Drew! He was so good. He is turning 6 months old this week. Wow where does the time go? All in all it was great to get us all together for a little Hansen gathering. It's awesome that we all love each other very much! Where would we be with out family?

Don't feed the bears.

Sawyer loves his teddy Bear Stitches. And afterall, A bear has got to eat! This afternoon Sawyer asked if the teddy bear could sit with him in his high chair. Oh why not? So as cute as it was the two of them sitting up there... Sawyer thought he would give Stitches a bite of his Chicken Noodle Soup! How thoughtful!!! Luckily Stitches cleans up rather well.
