Giddy Up!!

So this year I am going to do it! Well, I am going to try to do it. I want to run the 10 K. Two years ago I ran the 5 K and I loved it. I think I was in the best shape I have ever been. So since I couldn't run it last year. (Bun in the Oven) I need to really crack down and do better this year. So maybe one year I will actually be able to run a 26 mile marathon. Wow, wouldn't that be the day!!! Some people say, "Why would you even want to do that?"  Gosh , I would just love to be that physically fit to be able to!! So the reason for this post is to extend an invitation to any one who wants to reach this goal with me. I know all the cities have the fun runs but I am shooting for Spanish Forks and Salems. (Salem has a 5K, Spanish has a 10K) The 5 K really isn't as hard as it sounds. It is only a little over 3 miles. I have been going to gold's in the mornings if anyone wants to go too. Mondays @ 1030. Tuesdays @ 1030, Thursdays @1030, Fridays @9:00 and on occation Saturdays @ 9:00. These are classes either pump or turbo kick. They are so awesome, I love them and you get the best workout! So anyone who is interested let me know.I am excited to get myself back in shape and be able to run this summer. It's going to be fun!  Any takers?

10 things you may not know about me

1- I love Patrick Swayze! I think he is so cute! I think Nick kind of looks like him and I love it. The greatest movie of all time is Dirty Dancing. I have probably seen it like 400 times and every time I watch it I just think, "Oh sexy Johnny Castle! I sure am lucky my husband looks like him." And then I want to go on vacation, go dancing and take his shirt off! Rarrrr!
2-Me and My best friend weren't always best friends. I know it is hard to believe now because we are closer than ever but yes, My sister Tracy and I didn't like each other all through high school. (we had some growing up to do I guess.) I don't know what I would do without her now. I am glad we seen the light. Luv ya Trac!
3-I am learning to play guitar. I have been wanting to for years. Nick bought me a guitar for my birthday about 4 years ago and I was so excited I cried then never learned to play. My sister plays, My two uncle plays and I cant wait to play with them all now. My goal is to be able to play at least 4 songs by June.
4-I get so nervous before a photo shoot! I know I shouldn't because I feel I have been taking pictures for so long ( is 6 years so long? ) But I always feel I need to know more and do better and there is always the possibility of messing up, and  not pleasing the person you are working for. It usually turns out fine but I still get so nervous! Weddings are the worse!
5-water is my drink of choice. This is all I ever drink. I love it. I even get sick if I drink soda. Too sugary. So If we are out to dinner or lunch or whatever and the waiter asks what would you like to drink, and I say "I'll just have a water" I'm not just being cheap, I really would order a water even if they charged $1.99 for one.
6-I love to run! It is exhilarating! This year I am going to run the 5k again, and hopefully try to 10k. I love the way I feel after a good run. (And it is a great way to loose extra baby weight!)
7- I hate hate hate cigarettes! maybe this is because my dad is a big time smoker. But I hate it. It stinks, It makes you all wrinkly, your teeth yellow. So unattractive! Nothing is worse that when you see a cute girl or guy and then you see them light up. Come On!! But let me say..I don't hate the people behind the cigarette, just the habit. Lets make that clear, I have many loved ones that support the habit.
8-I am somewhat of a gym freak! Not that you can't tell by my Muscle ripped body (as if!) but I do hit the gym about 4 times a week and I love it. I am not the person who "dreads" it. I really look forward to a good, sweaty, red face workout.
9-I love chocolate! I am so addicted! After a meal I need a chocolate chaser! (kind of like the smoker) It is bad! I go rummaging through my house trying to find that one little ounce of chocolate. It has gone as far as getting that last little chocolate chip that is in the back of the freezer and sighing the sigh of pure satisfaction! What have I become!!!
10-I love to play softball. I am not a good softball player but I do love to play. Can't wait for the season this year know that I am not pregnant! Giddy up!
One more thing I must add that everyone probably does know about me is how much I love my boys! Nick, Carsen, Sawyer and Baby Drew. The loves of My life!!!!
So there you have it. Any one reading this you are also officially "tagged" Do I need to mention names? o.k. Kiley, Kenzy, Tracy, Amanda, Ali, Addy, Heather your up!

Godspeed

I just love this song! Notice it is on my playlist. Give it a listen. It is my song to my boys. I am going to learn to play it on my guitar. I can't wait to play it (actually be able to play well) and sing them to sleep.
I just love my boys!!!

The very best gift given

It brings back so many memories for me when I see the looks on my boys faces when they get that first glimse of the presents that santa left for them. I remember that feeling of excitement. Did Santa Claus come? I remember one year, I was awake all night looking out the window hoping to see Santas sleigh flying through the sky and stopping at my house. No such luck. But having kids and watching them have those same feelings, really brings back the emotion of the belief in Santa.
It was really neat this year for us. This was Sawyer's first year of real Santa excitement. And of course Carsen had that too. Sawyer was more concerned about Santa Clause on the wrapper on the presents than actually unwrapping them. And Cars was the complete oppisite. He would unwrap one throw it aside and ask for the next.( We had a talk about that afterward) Carsen got his Pokemon toys and Drawing supplies that he asked for, Sawyer got his trucks and trains and Drew got everything on his christmas list too, diapers and milk. (With a few toys as well) Nick got a big nice hunting coat(just what he wanted) and I got a tanning pass and a shopping spree. (Just what I wanted!)
But all in all, I am blessed. We are blessed. I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for the gifts that were under the tree on Christmas morning. I am thankful for the roof over my head. But most of all, I am so thankful for my friends and my family. Thats what it is all about right?  It is not all about the "things" we receive. This year I really thought about this. Sometimes it is easy to get so caught up in material things and we loose sight of what really matters. It is about The ones we love.It is about being with the ones we love. It is about loving the ones we love!
So at the end of the day (The long crazy Christmas day)..I think that The very best gift I was given was by my heavenly father who gave me my  wonderful, caring husband, my sweet ,beautiful boys, and my great, supportive family. I am one lucky girl! What more could I ask for!!

The latest craze!

Chuga Chuga Choo Choo! This year it is trains! Boy, our Sawyer bug loves trains. Grandma Vickies present this year was the big hit. She got him a cute little battery powered train that has a little track and Sawyer just loves it! On Christmas he played with it for hours. He would be playing in the corner with his train and ever so often we would hear Choo, Choo!!! So cute! Im glad we found what Sawyers latest craze is. I guess I will have to introduce him to Thomas. (Yes, he has never watched Thomas)

I can hope can't I?

What are the chances of Drew's eyes staying Blue? Nick is so sure they will change to brown. After all, both of our eyes are brown and that is the dominent gene. right? Well, he is almost 3 months now and still blue and beautiful as ever! So, I am hoping that they will stay blue. Nick  thinks Sawyers eyes were still blue when he was 3 months old. I say "whatever!!!"
I am keeping my fingers crossed!
